About

(Please note: the date of this event is just a placeholder for us, the information is valid whatever date you read this)

The majority of our free hamper support has ended. But see below for options of what next.

1. If you have been registered on state benefits (including universal credit) for more than 8 weeks:

There are many places where you will be able to find help. Please take a look at the list below to see which might apply to you. Most places have websites where you can find out more information:

  • You are welcome to come to The C3 Centre in Cambridge for ‘Food Truck Fridays’. Each Friday lunchtime from noon we have a pay-what-you-can meal available. If you have no money, we’ll give you the food for free! No need to book just come along.
  • The C3 Church also operates a Community Fridge where you can help yourself to surplus food that has been donated. We never quite know what it will be, but if you need it, you can have it, for free! We put out any surplus food during the daytime as we get it, Monday to Friday, outside The C3 Centre, CB1 3HR.
  • There are many other Community Fridges both in Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds. We can email you our current list. The best info for anyone Cambridge-based can be found at cambridgesustainablefood.org
  • Across both Cambridgeshire and Suffolk there are a number of Food Banks We advise finding one that is close to you and then getting in contact with them. Most will require you to apply for a voucher to access the food help. Details of how to do this will be given to you when you get in contact with them. For Cambridgeshire and Suffolk go to www.trusseltrust.org.  For Bury St Edmunds go to www.gatehouse.org.uk
  • Citizen’s Advice Bureau can also help.

2. The C3 Church is also running a number of courses that may be relevant. These are currently online. Click on the links below to find out more and book in.

  • The Money Course (coming soon)
  • Job Club (coming soon)
  • Divorce Recovery (coming soon)

If you would like to be added to our prayer list, then please continue to fill out the form below. We believe in a God who loves us and walks with us through the tough times. He is an ever-present help in times of trouble.

3. If you have recently been made redundant, or you are on a reduced income because of furlough or being self-employed, and this change has happened in the last 8 weeks, then we can help you with a gift of food. (We may ask for evidence of your status, please call if this is a difficulty. 01223 844415. We want to help).  Please apply HERE.
